We started the school year 2018-2019 (working with W.S. Hornsby Elementary)
The program was designed to help students with home work and help them catch-up if needed
Stay current and move ahead in their class work.
Our first year taught us that we needed to take holistic approach with each child based on the needs the individual
This included:
Social behavior
Physical/ after school meals
Mental and spiritually
Children are Picked up from school and taken home after tutoring ends.
Classes are Monday - Thursday 3:00 to 5:30pm. (Grades 1st - 3rd)
The school year of 2019-2020 (tutored classes 1st grade and 2nd)
Our findings showed that many students were reading below grade level
Our dyslexic testing was implemented and teachers trained to help
Students with the reading, comprehension and spelling.
Unfortunately, in march 2020
the program was
Put on hold until we are passed this crisis.

Jesus Helper Book Reading

In March, Author Tywanna Williams read her book, "Jesus Sends Me a Helper" to the children of the Macedonia Church of East Augusta's School of Gifted Arrows tutoring program. The kids had such a great time learning how Jesus will send help during our times of need.
